Tutorial Logcabin Ornament with extra heart addition!

The tutorial is using the centimeter scale. However, converted inches are added ánd adapted in this tutorial for use on a 3 inch smoothfoam ball.
What do you need:
– 8 cm Styropor / Smoothfoam ball with markings. (If you work in
inches use a 3 inch ball. )
– 6 or 7 cotton fabrics of your choice.
(No stretch, quilt fabrics work best)
– A lot of 18 mm pins. (110 to be precise, but take more in stock)
(About 3/4 to 1 inch.)
– A trick marker and a fineliner in a color of your choice.
– Flexible measuring tape.
– Scissors
– Thimble.
– Sanding block
– One strip of paper about 10 inch long and about ¼ inch wide.
Possibly: cutting mat – roller cutter – cutting ruler
(not necessarily, but handy)
For a bow you need ribbon of your choice:
3 times 1 strip of ribbon of 66 cm long (25”)
A hanging ribbon of your choice of 15 cm long. (6 inch)
A pearlheadpin with a minimum of 5.5 cm long and a maximum of 7 cm long. (About 2 to 2 ½ inch.)

For the heart you will need:
– About a 9 cm Styropor / Polystyrene heart. (If you work in
inches use a 3.5 inch heart. )
Of course you can use a larger heart, you will just need more pins
and fabric.
– 8 cotton fabrics of your choice.
(No stretch, quilt fabrics work best)
– A lot of 18 mm pins. (About 3/4 to 1 inch.)
– A trick marker.
– Flexible measuring tape.
– Some geometry device such as a geotriangle.
– Scissors
– Thimble.
– Sanding block
Possibly: cutting mat – roller cutter – cutting ruler
(not necessarily, but handy)
